A STORY NEVER TOLD IS A WORLD FIRST!
No one has told stories about what happened after Ragnarok - until now. Our mythical tale revolves around a young seeress who is on a deadly mission to save what’s left of Yygdrasil’s nine realms.
Her name is Kenna, and if she is to succeed she must add magic, trance-voyaging and shapeshifting to her humble set of mystical skills. Also, she must be brave and battle-ready. Luckily for her, she won’t be alone on this journey.
If you’d like to see how Kenna and her partner Eddar navigate a world full of gods, witches and monsters - all to rescue the only deity who can kickstart the cosmos - sign right up to our Kickstarter Campaign!
Look for the launch in 2022. And remember, the fantasy has just begun, reality is in your hands.

WHY YOUR SUPPORT IS VITAL
Norse Theme Parks is a young company with a passion for Viking history. Our vision is to open the world’s first Norse Mythology-inspired theme park, ’The Legendary world of Norse Mythology’
When Viking theme parks start popping up in Denmark, NTP will make a splash with multi-faceted gamification experiences. All rooted in our own Post-Ragnarok story (The Yggdrasil Chronicles), in which two heroes must fight to save what’s left of the nine mythical worlds.
Of course, we are not alone in dreaming about Viking theme parks. But our long-term vision will come true. Remember the massively popular TV series, ‘Vikings’? Well, aspects such as where they went, how they fought and how they played are going to shape our fun-filled concepts. And hordes of peaceful visitors will drop by!
Let’s take this trip together…

The Yggdrasil Chronicles - soon to be yours
”Nine generations have passed since the Wheels of Eternity shattered, destroying the world order. When the great gods fell, fire and ice began to devour the world.
Nine generations have passed since Ragnarok smashed the bridges connecting kingdom, valley and race, disrupting the balance between order and chaos.
Nine generations have passed since Balder, wisest and fairest of Odin's descendants, was cast into the dungeons of Dimmuborgir, dark castle of death in the realm of the Goddess Hel. And while Balder suffers in chains, the surviving Asir wither away in the hall of the gods, powerless to help.
When Ragnarok struck, the nine golden game-pieces of the god’s Hnefetafl game were scattered to the four winds. Only when they have been found and reassembled will Balder be able to escape and take his father’s place on Hlidskjalf – the High Seat of Odin in Asgaard.
Or so it is written.
Under the leadership of Vidar the Silent, son of Odin and brother of Balder, the gods struggle to survive, but nine generations have passed since the Golden Apples of Idun - which kept them eternally young - were last harvested. The few remaining apples are withering away - and the few remaining gods are deathly tired.
It took nine generations for the first of the game pieces to reappear. The witch-giant Hyrrokin finds it in Helheimr but loses it again when a shaft of sunlight pierces her eyes. The moment it drops, Hugin - one of the two ravens that had perched on Odin’s shoulder before Ragnarok – swoops in and steals it.
High above the Nine Kingdoms, Hugin fights beak and claw to survive. He vanquishes his attackers one by one, but drops the precious game-piece in the battle. Summoning every last ounce of strength, he manages to return to his master. With his final breath he whispers something secret into Vidar’s ear, then drops lifeless into his lap.
The sole-surviving crow returns empty-handed to Hyrrokin, and she flies into a vengeful rage. Blaming the sun for her misfortune, she orders her wolf-sons to pursue and devour it, as punishment for its treachery.
For nine generations - since Ragnarok destroyed ancient Midgaard - King Erik's descendants have occupied the throne in the land known as Vik. Near the town of Hoddmimer it is early morning, and Kenna, daughter of humans, is herding sheep in a dew-soaked meadow. Kenna’s mother Solfrid was King Erik’s sister, but her father’s identity was kept secret.
Thus, while many of the locals consider Kenna to be of royal heritage, others consider her to be no more than an illegitimate child. Tonight, the people of Hoddmimer are readying for a feast, to celebrate the arrival of midsummer.
For weeks Kenna has been looking forward to succulent dishes, sweet mead, contests and games. But the sudden appearance of two dark spots on the eastern horizon stops her in her tracks. Beyond the grey veil of cloud, two figures appear to be chasing the sun! Suddenly everything turns cold and dark, and the sheep and birds fall silent. Had Kenna still believed in the old gods, she might have imagined this to be their doing.
After Ragnarok, most people lost their faith in the power of the Asir gods, but Kenna senses that a change is in the wind. Back at Hoddmimer the feast is well underway. Kenna seeks out her best friend Eddar the Bard - who knows all the old verses and stories - and tells him what she saw in the meadow. She is looking for answers, but Eddar has none.
What he does tell her is that he senses a new force flowing through her veins, one that goes beyond her famous ability to find lost things. Suddenly Kenna is summoned to the high table, as Queen Gudrun has misplaced a piece of jewelry. As usual, Kenna finds it quickly.
When King Erik sees the ancient, spiral-shaped amulet, he declares that it once belonged to his sister Solfrid, which makes it Kenna’s rightful heirloom. That same night, Vidar the Silent comes to Kenna in a dream. He shows her what’s left of Valhalla, where the few remaining gods now look ancient. Then he tells her about the nine missing Hnefetafl pieces, which must be found in order to save Balder from eternal suffering at the hands of the Goddess Hel.
Since the gods are incapacitated, a human must step in. Vidar shows Kenna what she will be up against. She sees the witch-giant Hyrrokin and all her minions: the fiery sons of Surt; evil frost-breathers; sons of wolves, and all the other beasts that will be hell-bent on destroying her, her friend and her mission.
Suddenly the forces of Chaos invade Kenna’s dream, severing the connection between her and Vidar. She writhes around in terror and confusion, seeing nothing but fire, ice and darkness. Only when she senses something cool on her forehead, and hears ancient words spoken by a familiar voice, does she find the strength to resurface. Opening her eyes, Kenna sees Eddar’s gently smiling face. He had called her back by placing a hollow stone on her forehead.
According to ancient lore, hollow stones can keep the forces of chaos at bay. Eddar had come to believe that Ragnarok had put an end to Seer magic – but his opinion was changing. The force he has felt flowing through Kenna’s veins is now running through his veins too. When Kenna looks down, she sees an eyepatch in her hand - a sign from Odin and a greeting from Vidar and the other Asir gods. She takes this as proof that her dream represents reality. Kenna tells Eddar about her fearsome mission and he immediately volunteers to accompany her.
The quest to find the golden game-pieces will take our two heroes to each of nine realms of the cosmos. With Hyrrokin's evil servants on the prowl, no place will be completely safe – and time is of the essence. Kenna and Eddar must learn new skills and acquire mythical powers and ancient wisdom in order to help Balder reclaim the High Seat of Odin.
At the head of the great table in Valhalla, Balder and his kin will bring the cosmos back into alignment, and put the Wheels of Eternity back where they belong “.
